FAVORITE THING ABOUT WORKING IN THE VET FIELD: I have wanted to be a veterinarian since I was very little. There was a vet near my childhood home that would let me watch procedures and teach me something at every visit with my pets. Not only did she inspire me, but my parents fostered my love for animals and the field from then through now.
My interests include ultrasound, critical care, reproduction, and multimodal pain management options for pets. I’m passionate about thorough and open client communication, especially in the emergent setting. I mostly bring up reproduction as it was my passion throughout veterinary school and led to research publications and awards in the field of theriogenology. I won the Nandi Scholarship in my final year of veterinary school.
I am currently RECOVER CPR certified and completed a rotating internship in my first year out of vet school. In my internship I rotated through theriogenology, anesthesia, clinical pathology, internal medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, but spent most of my time in emergency and critical care.
HOBBIES OUTSIDE OF WORK: Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my horses, traveling, swimming, and baking.
PETS: Pets-wise I have a deaf kitty named Cheeb, a German Shepard mix named Bear, and 4 horses.
